Panton Highway Department

The Panton Highway Department maintains 21.47 miles of roadway. . Panton has 10.78 miles of Class 2 (paved) roads and 10.69 miles of Class 3 (unpaved) roads. Vermont Route 22A traverses 2.76 miles of Panton and is maintained by the state of Vermont. 

The Panton Highway Department is a two-person operation directed by highway foreman Rick Cloutier. Rick has been with the Town since 2005. In addition to maintaining and improving Panton's roads, Rick has modernized Panton's highway facilities by adding a fabric salt shed and an equipment barn to the highway compound on Panton Road. Panton is currently looking to hire a full-time road crew member. Details of the road crew position can be found here.
