Grand List

Notice is hereby given to those who own property in the Town of Panton that the 24-25 Grand List has been lodged by the Listers/Assessor. A printed copy is available for review at the Town Hall.

Any taxpayer may grieve the assessed value of their property by attendance at the Grievance Hearing. Written and email grievances are welcome but must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday, June 10, 2024.
Grievance hearings will take place on Tuesday, June 11 and Wednesday, June 12, 2024 between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.  Please call Panton Town Clerk: 802-475-2334 to schedule a grievance hearing. 

Hearings will be by appointment only and will last 15 minutes.  Please call (802) 377-3636 to schedule an appointment. All appeals must be in writing (click here for form). If you are unable to attend, your appeal will be based on the information provided in the letter. For a successful appeal, landowners should present relevant evidence as to why they feel the assessment is incorrect. You may contact the Assessor prior to the grievance hearings to ask questions or obtain additional information.
